Gold Note PA-1175 MkII Power Amplifier – 200 W Stereo / 520 W Bridged Class A/B

$8,795.00

The power amplifier for the most demanding audiophiles

Gold Note PA-1175 MkII Class AB power amplifier perfectly matched to a wide variety of loudspeakers, thanks to the selectable damping factor. The proprietary optical BIAS offers high power combined with very low distortion: it controls the reference voltage with great precision and stability compared to traditional systems. The optical signal analysis takes place separately from the audio path, ensuring loudspeaker protection and unbeatable performance. The PA-1175 MkII is designed to minimise all kinds of RFI and EMI interference, taking advantage of the thick aluminium panels featuring the typical Gold Note design.

BTL [Bridge-Tied-Load] technology allows the stereo amplifier to be bridged, transforming it into a mono power amp and increasing its power output from 200W@8Ω per channel to the considerable 520W@8Ω per channel. Thanks to this feature, the most demanding loudspeakers on the market can be easily driven.

The PA-1175 MkII Class A/B stereo amplifier power transformer is a special toroidal design featuring a spiral core. The refined mechanical process makes the core completely stable, cancelling out any mechanical vibrations and guaranteeing exceptional performance and perfect isolation. A small secondary transformer takes care of all auxiliary functions to preserve the audio signal.

The PA-1175 MkII High-end audio power amplifier Gold Note also features a proprietary technology that allows the damping factor to be selected directly from the front panel, enabling all types of loudspeakers to be driven.

Setting the damping factor to 250DF allows the full potential of large, low-sensitivity loudspeakers to be exploited, while the value at 25DF is a perfect match for high-efficiency loudspeakers or small monitors that do not like the high current output of large amplifiers.

THE CONTEMPORARY POWER AMPLIFIER

The PA-1175 MkII is the second generation of Gold Note High-End stereo Class-A/B Power Amplifier. Its new solid state design features a proprietary Gold Note Optical BIAS proprietary creation that enables a constant current generator to achieve high current and high power with ultra low distortion.

Our proprietary and innovative Optical BIAS design controls the voltage of the unit. It features optical decoupling to overcome the downgrading solutions of traditional electronics. Analysing optically the signal while it gets completely separated from the audio signal path assures highest protection and unbeatable performance.

To avoid RFI and EMI interferences, the PA-1175 MkII is made of a massive steel chassis and thick aluminium panels vented by the unmistakable Gold Note curved slots design.

The BTL technology [Bridge-Tied-Load] allows the unit to be easily bridged in order to work as a mono amplifier. The remarkable 200W @ 8Ω per channel in stereo mode grow up to a considerable 520W per channel in mono. Pushing further the pure audio performance, it allows the PA-1175 MkII to drive easily the most demanding power speakers on the market.

The PA-1175 MkII power transformer is a special toroidal model featuring a unique cut spiral nucleus. The refined mechanical process makes the nucleus completely stable, canceling any mechanical vibration to guarantee a terrific performance and perfect insulation, while a small secondary transformer powers the auxiliary functions with dedicated circuits outside of the audio path signal.

The PA-1175 MkII is an outstanding power amplifier featuring a proprietary adjustable Damping Factor technology that can be easily selected from the front panel. Setting the Damping Factor to 250 or 25 will let you find the ideal match with any kind of speaker. Use it at 250 to get the power and control necessary to drive large, low- sensitivity speakers or set it at 25 to use the amplifier as if it was a low-power tube amplifier, perfect to drive high-sensitivity and mini monitor speakers.
